Sandy Walker - Signature Member, The southern Arizona Watercolor guild
Sandy Walker has been a professional artist since 1975. After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design, Sandy worked in the Advertising business for more than 30 years. Most recently as Creative Director for a local Tucson Advertising Agency. Currently she continues to do freelance graphic design work and teach watercolor classes.
Sandy has always enjoyed the look and feel of transparent watercolor. She relies on her design background and love of color for her compositions. Sandy enjoys using bright colors and never seem to run out of inspiration for paintings living in beautiful Southern Arizona or from the many wonderful locations that she’s had the opportunity to visit. Sandy chooses her subjects by what captures her imagination, trying to bring her style with her interpretation of the subjects.
She is an active Signature Member of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild and has won numerous awards. She designs all the printed artwork and newsletters for the Guild and their Gallery.
