Charlotte Landis

As an award winning artist, specializing in watercolor, Charlotte Landis has found her voice by painting subjects of her fondest childhood memories. Intrigued with the movement and arrangement that she found in nature, she delights in highlighting the details she discovers on the earth.  Charlotte’s paintings come to life as she invites the viewer to take a closer look.

With an academic background in medical technology and a specialty in chemistry, Charlotte’s understanding of chemical elements and their reactions extends into her art as she unites paper and paint. It is with excitement and curiosity that she approaches each blank piece of paper.  With lifelong reverence for the beauty that surrounds her and her playful sense of humor the result is in designs that draw in the viewer and uplift the spirit.

Charlotte has been painting in her studio since 2007. Exhibitions of works began in 2008 in Alexandria, Virginia where she was a member of the Art League of Alexandria andCentral Virginia Watercolor Society.  She was juried into the Potomac Valley Watercolorists in 2009.  In Arizona she has become a signaturemember of Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild. Vacationing in Maineshe has shown works at the Ellsworth Library with the “Wednesday Painters”, Schooner Art Gallery in Milbridge and Lighthouse Arts Center in Bucksport.
