Gallery wrapped canvas - The intent/challenge was to take a single sheet of paper and create a collage as a light and dark study using every scrap of torn paper to form an interesting piece of art. I started with a 12x16 piece of drawing paper. Using acrylic paint, I painted 2/3 of the paper light and 1/3 dark. I used the light portion of painted paper as my substrate. Then I tore the dark paper to create a collage using every single piece of paper.
