FUN*Raising

Do you say your SAWG committee needs resources for a project?  Who are you gonna call?  “FUN*Raisers.”  This committee is dedicated to making fundraising fun through sales, raffles, auctions, and any other crazy or not-so-crazy event.  Proceeds stay within SAWG for support where needed.

Sponsorships

The Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild (SAWG) is a community of water media artists recognized for excellence in their work, promotion of art education, and the advancement of water media in southern Arizona. SAWG been able to support the arts in our Tucson and surrounding area due to the generosity of our many sponsors.   We promote the education of our members and non-members by holding workshops with internationally and nationally renowned artists and by offering gallery classes taught by SAWG’s own outstanding member artists.  We award scholarships for high school seniors and college students who are continuing their education in fine arts. None of this could be done without the generous sponsors that support the arts through SAWG. We are a 501c (3) non-profit organization which permits us to accept tax-exempt donations for our various educational programs. Thank you for considering one or more of the sponsorships below. No amount is too large or too small.

Scholarships

You can help support the future of promising art students and our art community with a donation to SAWG's scholarship fund. No donation is too small. Together we can make a big difference in a student's art education and ensure that SAWG achieves its primary mission to educate and promote art in the community!  Thank you for your support.

Shows

SAWG’s Gallery and Online Gallery allow us to showcase our artwork to the community and the world. Our members have the opportunity to sell their work in this way as well. Our shows also offer opportunities for our members to have their work juried and judged for prizes by experienced and well-known artists. These awards are usually in the form of cash prizes and we need donations for those prizes.

Workshops & Classes

Help fund the workshop opportunities that SAWG offers. There are many expenses involved with the hiring of Premier Artists, as well as with the technology needed for our own gallery classes. Help support our members who would like to take a workshop but find themselves without the funds to do so.  Scholarships, designated via the Angel Fund, are a valuable resource.

Western Federation of Watercolor Societies

In 2028 SAWG will again host the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies exhibition.  We must save each year to prepare for this expensive hosting expense. Additionally, we must pay annual dues of approximately $235 to participate in Western Fed.  SAWG is one of the founding members when WFWS was started in 1975.

GENERAL FUNDS

Our Gallery in Williams Centre and our Online website educational classes allow us to connect with our community for art education. It takes funds to keep the gallery running. Donations made to general funds give SAWG the opportunity to use the money where most needed.  Your help in keeping the gallery open and online through donations will ensure that SAWG will remain a vital part of supporting art education.
